You clearly see that Adobe is taking a lot of steps to move up with the 64bit technology and where would it be more appropriate to start then with the production premium suite?

All video guys reading this blog know exactly that memory & processor are the kings when working with video.

Did you just got a 64 bit system? Or maybe you just upgraded to CS4? Then you should read through the document below and setup your system best.

This morning while surfing through Adobe’ s website, I’ve came across this press article:
http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/pressroom/pressreleases/200809/091008AdobeFMES.html

Looks like Adobe is moving into some fields that have been ruled for a long time by Telestream and Flix, I’m really wondering how things are going to look like in the future. While Telestream’s Flipfactory can create almost every kind of output files and on2′s Flix only creates Flash. Adobe’s FMES solution is entering the automated encoding market by only creating flv and f4v files.

With 6000$ licensing prices they are entering the marketing with a midrange price segment. I don’t remember exactly how much on2′s flix licenses do cost, but I remember those being pretty much expensive, whilst not talking about Flipfactor’s telestream being even more expensive (but it has more options then anyother server based encoding solution)

I’m really lookling forward to get my hands on FMES and spend a few hours testing it.

Adobe just released the latest beta releases of a few software packages. You can grab them rightaway on http://labs.adobe.com.

Dreamweaver CS4
The new Dreamweaver CS4 version comes up with a bunch of new features like “Live View”, new code Hinting, better CSS support and last but not least my highlight is the Photoshop smart object integration.

(more information here)
Next up on Labs is Adobe Fireworks CS4 I wasn’t a big Fireworks fan for a long while until Tom Green explained me a few things and hints about it, and by now it became one of my default application when I’m working on web projects.
Some of the new features I’m really looking forward is the new User Interface and the CSS output function, is it really going to make my life easier?
(more information here)

Last but not least on the list is Adobe Soundbooth CS4
I’ve been playing with soundbooth CS3 for quite a while now, I see the pro’s and cons of an application like this and I need to admit that it IS really useful for certain situations and edits, BUT it does not replace an application like Adobe Audition or SoundForge.
(more information here)

Have fun playing with the Adobe goodies as long they’re warm

MTV and Adobe are teaming up to bring you the “MTV Adobe® AIR™ Challenge.” Think you can make the coolest Adobe® AIR™ application worthy of MTV’s digital age? Then give it a shot!

Adobe’s Keynote Part 1 hast just finished and the guys are have again managed to stun everybody.
Starting with AMP (Adobe Media Player) through a bunch of really awesome AIR applications, moving on to a presentation about web development with CF8 and Dreamweaver CS3 hosted by Ben Forta & Scott Fegette. Kevin Lynch presented some examples of HD clips playing inside the moviestar flashplayer. HD really rocks the house, event a 720p stream looked so sharp that it’s going to kill all the current codecs.
Microsoft’s using a really cool flashsite to promote HALO 3 which has been released last week (on a sidenote: Microsoft using Flash? Where’s Silverlight , lol )

Adobe Labs has also been heavily updated with new toys, you got AMP, AIR Beta 2, Flex 3 Beta2, AIR extension for Flash & Dreamweaver, an updated version of the Spry Framework for Dreamweaver and last but not least the new flashplayer 9 “moviestar” just updated today

The last presentation was all about the upcoming flash player codenamed “Astro”. I’ll need to recap whats been spoke about, it just had been to much information for my little brain .

Btw, did you guys knew that Adobe aquired Buzzword? Buzzword are the guys creating the same named application for word processing completely Flash based. Google watchout

Below a few pics that I’ve shot during the preso.
