you just need to create one keyframe at frame 0 from the rotation parameter and then scrub all the way to the end of your layer and create a new keyframe by rotating the parameter until it reaches 360° eg. 1×0.0 (one full rotation)
That needs to be done on the layer where you applied the effect to, in thi case the imported layer.

Thanks for the reply. This may be a stupid question but which layer to you add the keyframe to? The solid or the image? I have tried both but doesn’t want to animate. Could it be something I have not done. Is there A particular way to render the movie?

Have a look at the end of step 2

Just create a keyframe at the beginning and one at the end to animate the rotation.

Hi there

Excellent tutorial since your the only one who has been able to post it . I too like Mr Nord cannot animate it nor add keyframes. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Great work dude I really love it! I am a very beginner with After Effects, although I am modestly more advanced with flash. I tried to reproduce you cardiogram but mine is not animating , would you please help me out i really followed your instruction, could it be some of my settings?!? Have a great Xmas!
